Gary Russell is going to beat Haney.

Idk that I'd bet on that. GRJ is past prime for a lil guy & jumping 2 divisions is no small feat & usually results in an L not a W historically.

It is a compelling fight & Devin is still more prospect than proven so you could end up being right.

That said I highly doubt this happens so we could see who's right cuz GRJ loves talking more than fighting these days & they are with different outfits.

Even though Gary walks around at 140, he is still jumping 2 divisions and I doubt if his power will carry in a fight with Haney. Gary has a 56% Career stoppage percentage and 50% in his last 10 fights. With that being said, his best opportunity would be to outbox Haney and win by decision. Haney has a 62% career stoppage percentage and also 50% in his last 10 fights.

I think it’s going to the cards but because Haney is naturally bigger, he could eventually wear down Gary and win a decision. Gary has never been stopped with his only loss to Lomo by majority decision. I see the same results for Gary.
