I honestly don't think Canelo knows he's not popular outside of Mexico and the US (due to the Mexican population) and he'll never make that DAZN money anywhere else.

Who's he going to fight that will generate big PPV money? And he neither a HW or an AJ that's a global star and can command big money in the gulf region.

Canelo is an idiot and he's grossly overrated as a boxer. If you can beat BJS, Smith and the other American champion...he needs to retire from boxing and stop cherrypicking bums.

This is on DAZN too though. They overpaid for him big time along with other fighters that they felt would move the needle in subs. I've been saying for years that Canelo isn't a house hold name in the US like Manny and Floyd both were at their peak. But this is also showing how HUGE HBO was and their marketing team were 2nd to none let alone the platform itself. If Canelo signed a 3 fight deal with PBC I almost guarantee he'd have more of the casuals flock back to see him fight...let alone they'd actually see it promoted and know where it's being aired.
