Bro... you are right about One thing agreeing to pay 40 million a fight was a mistake.

They gave him near best pay without securing solid matchups. But where I disagree was money making fights were there.

Boxing is like this, you can walk the line and no one pays attention. However walk a tight rope 500 ft up and we can’t turn away.

Everyone would have watched Canelo vs Andrade, Billy Joe Sanders (When he was hot), Big Charlo, David Benevidez, Beterbiev... these are great fights. However they didn’t know if he would win so they never happened.

It would be interesting to see how taking a loss impacts Canelo contractually. They were really idiots if they said losing voids the agreement. That would explain why Canelo has been choosing safe opponents.

No question fight fans would view any of those matchups, but how many PPV buys would they get? A million at 69.99 grosses 70 mil, but if you pay canelo 40, what do you have left after you cover promotional costs?

DAZN killed Canelos fame, the PPV excitement still exist

Apps are generating more revenue cause of pandemic, but there losing on live gate probably only Nelo GBP are affected, Canelo is one of the few that makes live gate big money, but DAZN just thought all the Mexicans were gonna follow them with out promo, DAZN is proving us that promotion still is a huge part of the sales no matter how big a star they are

I think Nelo might get a grant to fight under other promotions or networks in the meantime, im sure uncle Al has made the move

I highly doubt AJ was going to be any more of a driving force for people to sub to DAZN in the US than Canelo was. Most people in the US still don't know who he is.

True. I thought they should’ve centered it around AJ and focus on international fights.

Mexican is a nationality not a race. There are several races within Mexico’s population. Go as the dirt poor native Americans in states like Chiapas if they feel they are the same as the white Mexicans in Guad or Distrito Federal...you know, t ones with all the education and wealth who look like europeans like in al the Novela tv shows. Better yet, ask those white Mexicans if they feel the same as the natives and meztizos or the blacks in the Yucatán
