    Can Kovalev even punch anymore?

He’s only knocked out three of his last nine opponents.

    Thats a 33% KO ratio.

Before this nine fight stretch, Kovalev knocked 26 of his first 30 opponents.

    That’s an 87% KO ratio.

They say the last thing a shot fighter loses is his punching power.

I think Kovalev lost that too.

    Here's what I think........

I think Kovalev took a dive against Canelo because of his legal troubles.

This! Kovalev fought way too weird in the Canelo fight.

To answer your question, yes he can punch. How else would he be a pro boxer?

Looked like he could punch against Yarde. He was scared against Canelo. Fought small to protect his body.

Maybe he was paid to lose to Canelo. I did not see a single punch he threw at Canelo that looked like it would break an egg. If you go by his punching power in his fight with Canelo he hit like a flyweight. Many years ago he was a great puncher. Even in his fight with Yarde he still hit fairly hard and KOed Yarde with a hard jab. In the Canelo fight all his punching power magically completely disappeared and he went from Crusher Kovalev to tapper Kovalev.
