  • Comments Thread For: Rosario: More Motivated To Beat Charlo Than Williams; It'll Be A Great War

Jeison Rosario isn't the least bit content with winning a career-defining fight that completely changed his life. The IBF/WBA 154-pound champion claims he is even more motivated to beat Jermell Charlo in their upcoming title unification fight than he was when he upset Julian Williams seven months ago. The Dominican Republic's Rosario is an underdog again, but he is determined to leave the ring September 26 with another impressive victory on his resume and a third world title.

This should really be a contested battle between the two. Rosario has got the edge in power, Charlo has the edge in boxing skills. They both have real good killer instincts, once they have their opponent hurt. Rosario has been knocked out once, he can take a good shot he just can't take to many. Charlo has been stung in past fights, but recovers well then looks to exact revenge. Rosario is on a roll, and Charlo is starting to show some *****s in his armor. I still give the edge to Charlo, someone getting knocked out either way. Rosario will push the fight, and Charlo will catch him coming in. At least that's the way I see this fight playing out. If Rosario gets to Charlo first I can see him bum rushing him for the knockout.

I can’t wait for this one. It’s a boxing fans dream. Both fighters are young and energetic with 3 belts on the line 🥊

I agree with the above. I think it will be a violent but tactical fight. I see Rosario trying to impose his will and use physicality to make Charlo uncomfortable, I think Charlo will look to time Banana's aggressiveness with a counter or a feint.

I believe it will be violent and competitive until Charlo lands something clean that Rosario doesn't see to hurt him and ultimately stop him. Could be in the 2nd round or could the the 9th; I don't see the fight going the distance.
