Ricky Hatton 'the White Mexican"

September 16th might not mean much to the average Brit, but stop a Mexican in the street and he will tell you that is the day his country gained Independence. So, on the 16th of September, WBC Super Feather Champion Marco Antonio Barrera will celebrate Mexican Independence Day in a rematch against Rocky Juarez in Las Vegas.

Marco has invited England's very own 'White Mexican", WBA Welterweight Champion Ricky Hatton, to be his guest at the fight. Ricky has accepted and will dust off his sombrero to be ringside with promoter Dennis Hobson and the rest of Team Hatton to support the "Baby Faced Assassin".

Ricky is quoted as saying "When Marco asked me to go out I didn't need asking twice. It will be an honour to support my friend. He's an amazing boxer and a great guy."

Ricky has been back in the gym during the last couple of weeks and is taking a short break before stepping up his training later this month in anticipation of his next fight on 9 December.

Maybe DLH is recuriting him for GBP

Dont be too quick to label the Manchester Maniac...a reliable source of mine spotted Ricky Hatton, Felix Trinidad, Iran Barkley and Randal "Tex" Cobb at arguably the hottest club in Seattle...The Viper Room 2.

Apparently Barkley is getting remarried and he has become quite close to some of the games former and current superstars.

Hatton was aksed later what the deal was with such a diverse group and he had this to say...

"I love being around fighters, we all love being around fighters...it is a bit weird in a way becuase none of us speak the same language but none the less it is an honour to attend Mr. Barkley's last party as a bachelor."

When Ricky was asked why a former or current Mexican great was not included amongst the group he had this to say...

"oh no you dont, your not getting me to go there"
