Just Saying... John has a history of liking to "PARTY" maybe he needs to be Drug Tested
It starts at the top though and you have to look over at Joe Markowski too, DAZN sent in the wrong F^cking Guys into this this CRAZY and Wildly Competitive US Market to try and build up your Subscription when they themselves don't know SH^T about this US Market or what Americans Like.
You don't start to try and build up Subs for a Sports APP with BOXING in this US Market. Boxing as a whole is not even all that f^cking Popular. It is a Niche Sport...why in the F^CK would a Casual Boxing Fan buy a Subscription for a sport they barely watch? Honestly it is probably legit about 300K Hardcore Boxing Fans in America This sport cannot thrive on hardcore fans alone, it needs Casual Sports fans and when you're putting fights on a APP, you're Ripping the sport away from the Casual Sports Fan and you're kinda seeing boxing Suffer with Lower Ratings and PPV Buys. While UFC is Thriving and pulling away from Boxing in this US Market.

Skipper should be riffed. It all depends on how the Executive Board vote on him and Blavatnik “approving” it. There should be a fine line from consultants whom can persuade the Board that approving a budget for Vargas vs Mikey is not the same drawing power as Canelo in Vegas. The approvals should be measured like so, not just splurged just to get Mikey across. Canelo even did a sold out MSG in his first appearance. Many forum members can’t even grasp that Canelo sold out MSG in his first appearance! Lol. We’re not talking those early MSG theatre appearances by GGG or Loma that were hyped to have sold out were fans couldn’t even tell the theatre vs the main venue... ffs...
GBP should run DAZN USA. Canelo, Ryan Garcia.. these are the draws. Hearn can focus on his region and everybody will be fine. Let’s regional promoters work their territories and end the ego. DiBella should get a chance for DAZN USA

Coppinger just said Canelo acknowledged taking a 30% cut. That means $24mil minimum.
Coppinger also said Canelo only wants 3 names: BJS, Smith, Plant
2 are Matchroom
1 is PBC
All three are Champions.
Common sense would tell you that DAZN should know what belts are. Did DAZN think 11 fights were each Mayweather style PPV? Of course not. The obvious force behind the hold up is Hearn. I’ve been saying for a year; this has been an ego battle between Hearn vs Oscar, and Matchroom is taking advantage, as Coppinger has, the distain between Oscar and Canelo.
It makes no sense why DAZN is not forcing Hearn to take Canelo’s $25mil acknowledged pay. What’s the hold up? MTK global with BJS or Smith with Hearn?
It’s goddamn Eddie Hearn conspiring behind the scenes with the board at DAZN. I just don’t know what the angle is other than Hearn’s ego over Oscar in controlling the USA. No wonder Hauser was trying to help out with making hit pieces at Hearn in 2019. Hearn’s getting DAZN UK. Hearn is a puss-e to let go of BJS and Smith because they have belts. Coppinger even said Andrade is not a premier fight? This proves why DAZN didn’t approve Undisputed for Canelo.
It makes no sense other than Hearn pulling strings. Isn’t this obvious?
Correct, Canelo doesn't want to take a 50% paycut but is willing to take a 30% cut to make a fight with Smith or BJS happen later this year.
There is definitely a lot of conflict of interests going on. Hearn has a close relationship with the DAZN top execs while GBP needs Canelo to put on cards for their other fighters. Canelo is getting screwed here. There was absolutely nothing wrong with him fighting Jacobs or Kovalev. And now he is looking to face a champion at 168. They probably figured they would be able to put on Canelo vs GGG III and Joshua vs Wilder and gain a significant amount of subscribers. It's not even like they were doing terrible before the pandemic, they had around 800k subscribers. That's not great but solid nonetheless.
End of the day, boxing is a niche sport. Not even close to being one of the biggest sports stateside, so I'm not sure what they were expecting. Hearn sold them stuff that he couldn't deliver on early on but they got a big break with HBO going out of business. Then they get the #1 attraction and still find a way to screw him over. One good bit of news is that Mannix expects Canelo to fight in November and think they will get it squared away soon enough.

If fans are sympathizing in wanting traditional GBP cards, then yes, one would be angry at Matchroom (Hearn). But if we are being honest and objective that Matchroom doesn’t owe anything to GBP and every client (Promotion) is everyone-for-themself while contracted with DAZN, then you have to admire Hearn’s hustle and cleverness. Again, Hearn is in a win win situation because DAZN UK will be his second phase. Hearn couldn’t nor shouldn’t care if he’s limited to his new domestic region. He’d prefer that anyways! DAZN just wasn’t available in the UK in the early years.
So yes, in the end, Canelo’s screwed. It’s not even so much about the money, it’s more about staying busy. Canelo not having fought a whole year isn’t ideal practice for any elite fighter. I take it however, the very best can withstand it, particularly Canelo’s experience or seeing how inactive Ward was at one point.
This was a shetty year with Global economic insecurities. At this juncture we need that goddamn agenda vaccine so that everyone can stop being paranoid... not that we really need it anyways.

lol
Hearn would never be okay or prefer going back to being a third-string regional UK promoter when he got the chance to play on the world stage (and fail miserably).
No ones chooses to be a UK domestic promoter, thats just their level.

Lol. DAZN is going to be global dummy. DAZN UK for boxing will be distributed to DAZN Global
