Brook was crazy enough to sell his own career for 1 pay day with top middleweight.

He saw Khan fighting Canelo for career pay day and he decided to become the same well paid punching bag for much stronger fighter.
How do you know Brook took the fight because he saw Khan get a big payday fighting Canelo? Do you seriously believe Brook thought he would lose and took the fight anyway for the money? GGG isn't much bigger than Brook who is a huge welterweight better suited to 154. I agree Brook is a shot fighter but why? One beating should not ruin a determined mentally tough boxer. Lots of boxers have suffered one or more beatings and come back strong. Spence also must have had something to do with Brook being shot. Brook fought reasonably well against Spence but Spence still knocked him out. maybe that loss took away Brook's confidence and love of boxing because it was his fights after Spence that Brook really started to look lousy.

He was trying to 1 up Khan. I'm too lazy to find the article, but Hearn said he begged Brook to reconsider and not fight Golovkin. Of course, not only did he not listen, Brook also came in with the wrong game plan. He was extremely heavy, with a ton of muscle mass that went onto his frame within (I believe) 5 months. Iirc, he outweighed Golovkin through all the weigh ins, and on fight night.

Then he decided to try trading during the fight. Brook is absolutely, 100% responsible for derailing his own career.

Did you watch the fight? Brook just couldn`t take that shots. GGG had terrible night, but he destroyed brook for good. was it worth?

I think he would have had the problem eventually even if he didn't fight Golovkin. That fight sure didn't help. He got his other eye socket broken by Spence. It was an accident waiting to happen.

Brook is a rich man. He made millions fighting C level guys like De Luca even in his last 3 fights. I don`t even believe he will drain him self for only 1,5 million dollars for Crawford.

yep brook ruined his career by trying to outdo Khan. Both Khan and Brook got destroyed and are now shadows of their former selves. Now Crawford, after his embarrassing performance against Khan, is now chasing the damaged Brook. SMH

That fight may have fractured brook's eye socket, but the funny thing is that ggg hasn't been the same since that fight as well. ggg got exposed so bad in that fight. ggg has been on a slippery downward decline since that 2016 fight.

I think if brook didnt do his eye socket in he'd be ok. He was talking as if he damaged gg g more afterbfight.
I think brook has some good wins left.
