  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis: Floyd Mayweather Jr. Has Been "Hands-On, Big Help" In Camp

Gervonta Davis is changing things up ahead of his fight versus Leo Santa Cruz on Oct. 24 on Showtime pay per view. For this encounter, Davis (23-0, 22 KOs) has moved camp to Las Vegas and is training under the watchful eye of Floyd Mayweather Jr., his promoter and confidant. Floyd been most helpful by protecting the “0” and lining up those “cherries”.....His famous words “Tank ain’t ready for Loma yet”!! Translation - “not ready” til Loma is way beyond his prime and 40!!

Yet you've missed weight and constantly in trouble with the law, yeah no discipline problems. Porky is so full of it, everyone knows you are after a smaller man because you looked awful at LW and top guys there smash you.

"Mayweather Jr. is instilling more discipline with Davis, including such simple notions of running more and better conditioning so that he doesn’t have to shed too much excess weight during fight week."

Maybe he should've just stayed @ 135? Just sayin'!

If Davis could pull his head out of his own ass he could be a great fighter he has a natural ability but doesnt embrace it.
