boxing will continue fading into irrelevance as long as there are multiple titles. having rankings makes the fights make sense in a broader landscape and doesn't force every fighter to be so interesting. nah you just watch him because he's the champion.

No, TC just wants money, plain and simple. Ugas isn't anything scary to Bud Crawford and his name brings peanuts. Crawford's not going to give a **** about his secondary WBA title either, so Ugas is going to have to get more than that before he becomes a player in the elite WW circle. Having said that, I'm not really excited about Crawford v Brook either. The only upside to that fight is the money because Crawford is going to get absolutely skewered to hell if he doesn't get a KO by the mid rounds -at the latest. Whether its true or not, Kell Brook is widely perceived as damaged goods so TC will not get respect for anything but a dominant, devastating KO win.

Solid good thread brought out the truth about the fight card. Glad fight fans are paying attention to what fighter"s do not what the fighters or wrtiers(promoters say) That is what keeps boxing alive.

He had a good effort vs. Porter and has done nothing since. Dude has four losses. How the Hell is he this "boogie man" that everyone claims he is?

Kell Brook's eye sockets have been ruined. He's easy pickings now which is why TC is moving in that direction instead of chasing a real challenge like Ugas.
Ugas doesn't last seven rounds with Crawford. Ugas is an aging Cuban with no power and four losses. What exactly has he done to warrant the label of "avoided"? I honestly don't see what you guys see in him. Maybe I'm missing something.

Crawford you were gonna be Porter's WBC mandatory, then you ran away from the WBC and decided to go the WBO route and Porter ended up having to fight Spence as his mandatory.

                ...

Ain't nobody ducking you. You just wanted an easy belt.

Well tough luck, nobody recognises that WBO garbage. You gotta fight someone live to become a champion in this division.

Grow a pair of balls Crawford and stop deceiving the fans.

Actions speak louder than words. Your actions are telling.
                Yup. It still works.

Interesting...Ugas seems to stir a lot of negative sentiments.

You may not like his style but he is a big WW and a solid fighter.
He is the perfect profile of a "Low reward, high risk" fighter so the elites in the division are not going to go out of their way to fight him.

I'll put my money on him stopping this version of Kell Brooks TC is facing and I am also willing to bet he would not turn down a fight with TC for half the money Kell is being paid.

Not sure Bob Arum would be willing to take that risk.

Did you miss when he beat Shawn Porter but got robbed?
