"Boxing fan`s" logic makes me laugh

Aj and Povetkin beat Whyte. Boxing fans: oh, Whyte is a bum, everybody beats him.

Ruiz beats Joshua. Boxing fans: oh, Joshua is a bum, everybody beats him.

Fury beats Wilder. Boxing fans: oh, Wilder is a bum, he should retire, everybody beats him.

On the other hand, some undefeated untested guys are getting a full credit for doing nothing.

    It is just pathetic.

I don`t follow UFC. Are UFC fans so ****** as well? They want everybody to retire after first loss?

            That's interesting actually.

In my experience most fans like most top fighters regardless of how much they argue who should be ranked where.

Reckon Overeem is about the closest thing to a Povetkin UFC has on offer, or MMA as a whole rather.

Overeem is allowed to have fans who like Overeem and who think Overeem always has a chance against anyone. If you say Reem's the greatest HW someone will point out Stipe of course but no one's going to pretend like The Reem is a bum or like they don't understand why you'd be a fan of him.

Beating Overeem is braggable. Losing to Overeem is not a huge set-back.

You have to be a consistent loser in MMA to really be seen as low tier. If you fight the top guys in your org and min more often then not everyone understands why you are a threat.

Even guys who get beaten out of an org, like UFC, and go to a smaller one like Bellator, get praised for doing well in the smaller pond.

Everyone's got their place and as long as you don't get ****** and claim things like Bader is the greatest HW of all time you'll pretty much never get made fun of for being a fan of someone.

Depends on how hyped the fighter was, how bad their attitude is/was, and how dominant they got beat.

Ronda, for example, was destroying girls. Then when she met Holm (and I called it), and Holm wrecked her, people wanted Ronda to retire. This was a girl who ran around talking about she'd beat Floyd in a boxing match.

But when Paige VanZant, who is an absolute sweetheart that was hyped to hell because of her looks and her heart, got wrecked by Thug Rose, she kept most all of her fans and nobody really wanted her to retire off that, it was a tough out and a great performance.

CM Punk? Gets wrecked inside seconds in his first fight after HUGE hype. People want him to give it up. He doesn't - gets dominated in his second fight with his opponent half trying.

But if you're a flat out nobody and you get beat, no, people respect the heart and at least getting in there.
