Jim Lampley substituting for Jim Rome on the radio today.

Lampley was covering for Jim Rome's radio show and was talking about boxing a lot. It sure was refreshing to hear that. Wednesday he covers again, and he's supposedly got some guy with huge news regarding boxing scheduled for Wed. The radio station is different for each state and city likely, but it's Jim Rome's AM radio show, and runs from 11 am until 2 pm Eastern(?) time.

I hope it was better than Jim Gray's job covering for Rome on ESPN. It was like they picked some guy from the street to do the job...it was HORRIBLE!

Lampley has been doing fill in for Romey for years. Rome is one of the few radio guys that talks boxing on a consistent basis. Lampleys show are always good. He is actually kind of funny.

I've been listening to Romey since the scrub saturday shows in from San Diego in 93-94. Not so much anymore becuase that whole job thing gets in the way. Catch him at Lunchtime when I can

I dislike Rome on a number of different levels and I really don't listen to much radio aside from the local Giants station. Anyone know where to go to find out where to tune in to get ESPN radio in your area?
