Comments Thread For: Autumn Trip to Connecticut Means Decision Time on Charlos

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It's referendum time for the Charlo brothers. Whether you're a fan or a cynic when it comes to the outspoken Houston twins, you'll no doubt get a chance to revel in one viewpoint or the other on Sept. 26. The belted duo will headline their first pay-per-view show when they compete in the first and second "main events" of a six-bout card to...

Ugas is a very good fighter.

But yes, the WBA is a joke. They just want more belts and more sanctioning fees.

. . . .and the networks, promoters, and fighters continue to support them by paying sanctioning fees. There's an easy fix to this ridiculousness, don't pay the fkn fees!

Yordenis Ugas (No. 1 WBA/No. 8 IWBR) vs. Abel Ramos (No. 6 WBA/No. 31 IWBR)

"Why it’s garbage: Ahh, yes… the WBA. Where having a “super” champion (Manny Pacquiao) and a “gold” champion (Vergil Ortiz) in a weight class is apparently not enough to sate the desire for even more sanctioning fee revenue. Ugas is a nice fighter and this is an OK matchup. But come on, when is enough actually enough? Don’t call it a “secondary” or a “minor” title. Call it what it is… a disgrace."

WBA IS THE WORST! Good Luck to Ugas! Let's Go!

Time was when as a kid i could reel off each champion in every weight class from Fly weight to HW without skipping a bit.

Put a gun to my head and i cannot do the same thing now!!
          Dont care anymore.

Boxing just cannot help cutting its nose to spite its face.

The belt means nothing, we all know who's who. Both of these guys are top level, elite competition.

I'm a big proponent of a level playing field, I want to know who is the best. That said, VADA testing? Does anyone know?

2 things I do not understand. The point of a tattoo and the point of a tattoo on dark skin...to each their own.

Boxing has way too many belts in way too many organizations. The main difference between Boxing and MMA is that in boxing you can literally fight anyone and everyone where in MMA you only fight those in the same organization as you such as UFC only fighting other UFC fighters etc.
