Comments Thread For: Parker: I Called Hearn and Asked Him To Give Me Povetkin or Whyte

Being a top contender and former WBO heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker was a very interested observer in the recent clash between Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin. Whyte, who was the mandatory challenger to WBC world champion Tyson Fury, was knocked out cold in the fifth round by Povetkin, who was down twice in the fourth and landed a vicious uppercut to close the show.

The fight in new zealand is outside of his matchroom deal, Higgins is negotiating and promoting it himself

In the meantime yes, Whyte and Povetkin are locked in for a rematch so how exactly is Hearn to make that fight at the moment. Basically telling him to stay busy with Fa rather than sit out.

And winner of that fight becomes mandatory. Parker ain't getting that fight.

Well with WBC said it will allow a year for the mandatory to be honored, maybe they can negotiate giving Parker a fight in the meantime. I doubt it, I am sure whoever wins will sit on it and wait but it is a possibility.

Hearn is sabotaging parkers career as he doesn't want him near AJ again as they won't get away with the same corrupt referee trick and AJ will get ko'd
