Comments Thread For: Dubois Embraces Praise From Fury, But Says Praise Doesn't Boost Confidence

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has heaped words of praise on rising contender Daniel Dubois. Fury watched Dubois demolish overmatched Ricardo Snijders in two rounds at the BT Sport studios. The victory raised Dubois' record to 15-0 with 14 knockouts.

Dubois looks like a guy with great potential, but he's needs to fight someone like Joe. He needs to chill with the corpses he tries to revitalize, they only provide fake movie beatdowns like Rocky gave Drago. It's not the 'compliment' he needs.

"showered his foe"?? What kind of Oscar Wilde garbage is that?
This is boxing, not croquet. Why do some of these nonce writers have to think they are Shakespeare when talking about a lethal mans sport like boxing? Take your "creative writing" and go report on lawn bowls.

Don't hate because you don't have a way with words. Definitely skip all my posts because I'm as colorful and creative as it gets.

I like How Dubois knows his place and recognizes Fury as the man to beat and the face of the sport. More than we can say for HitmanTommy.

Warren saw Lartey dribbling punches on Daniels head, but instead of working on defense and rematching Lartey with improvements, or some such plan. He just matched Daniel softer. Over stuffed padding softer, like Fujimoto. I never heard of a Japanese heavyweight boxer before, not even on a resume, not in a myth, or cartoon. That's bad.

Sounds like you're in denial to me. I bet you got a hard-on watching Brokeback mountain.

I haven't watched much of Dubois but I'm now a fan because of his wise reply to what Fury said. He can't be gassed up, and mind games won't work on this guy. He knows real confidence and where it comes from. He only wants to work hard and listen to who he trusts. Everything he said points to a mindset that I believe will take him far. He's a wise dude, and now I'll begin paying attention to his career.
