Ramirez has trouble with southpaws and fighters with good footwork. Hats off to Postol being 36 and still showing has a chin and good conditioning. It was a B- performance for Ramirez tonight. Didn’t like the excuses he was making post fight interview. If his best version of himself was in the Hooker fight, both Taylor and Prograis beat him by TKO. Sorry guys but we could be seeing Ramirez’s reign as a champion come to an end soon

I kinda expected this from Ramirez.
As a boxer he is okay. Fundamentally sound. Looks like a hard working guy - doesnt tire inside the ring.
But no X-factor - no special skills, no blinding speed. no one punch KO power.

I think Taylor's speed and workrate will bother Ramirez. Plus Taylor seems to have the chin as shown against Prograis.

Imo, Ramirez did enough to at least get a draw but he looked very flat. I wonder if he had an injury in camp or just didn't train hard enough

When has Taylor ever looked "elite"? When has Taylor ever looked like a transcendent talent? He will probably be a slight favorite over Ramirez, but I don't expect him to beat Ramirez. Styles make fights. Postol has a long, angular style that works off the jab on the move. Taylor fights nothing like that.

You know why they hate.

If anyone should get the hate it’s postol for running and trying to win win a jab to the gloves Ramirez pressured what he could without being too sloppy he marked his face up and got the job done.

Some of these dudes here are a disgrace.

Postol was landing solid jabs and right hands all night. I don't think he did quite enough to take the belts, but he probably deserved a draw. I never thought Ramirez, Prograis or Taylor were elite talents, just very good ones. All three will get mauled at 147, which is why they're hanging at 140 for as long as they can.
