HW's today...weak chins? or just strong punchers?

We all know that Maskaev could punch...but Rahman seemingly has a weak chin...or does he? Tua stopped him...but that's Tua...Lewis stopped him, but that's Lennox Lewis...

Wlad seemingly has a "weak chin"...however he was stopped by Brewster and Sanders of all people...two good HWs with very good punches...and dropped a couple of times by a raw, but hard punching Peter...

I could list some more, but you guys get the point...do you guys feel that HWs overall today just naturally hit harder than HWs of the past? mainly due to natural physical size?

This is mainly due to the reson that any guy at 200+ pounds can knock out any guy other guy in the devision.
But, yeah, we got a lot of big punchers right now.

I think some of times its the stamina. Since these guys are so big they get tired. When your body starts feeling exhausted your legs go, so its easier to be taken down by a punch.

just about to say that, Stamina...a lot of these guys don't train hard enough or don't come in a weight that will allow them to fight the full 12 rounds...when you are tired, you are more vulnerable because your hands are down, you mouth is open, your reaction time is slowed, muscles fatigued, etc.

Larry Merchant: Wladimir, there are skeptics out there....that question your "chin" or your "ability to take a punch". What do you say to that?

Wladimir Klitschko: Yes. Let me just say....that anybody is over 200 pound...can hurt you. And before I prove my chin, I will try and knock my opponent out.

heavyweights today arent as skillful as heavyweights of the past..but guess what? they punch harder and are alot stronger..samuel peter or wlad klitchko dont need the skill of floyd paterson or joe louis but they punch like train wrecks

                    This I partially agree with.

Joe Louis and Floyd Patterson were no where near as big of men as Those two are.

Peter may only be like 6'1.....but he's a ****ing absolute monster with a huge frame.

Wlad is just huge at 6'7 245.
