  • Comments Thread For: Lara: I Give The Edge To Charlo Over Rosario; I Want The Winner

Erislandy Lara can't help but roll with his former training stablemate in one of the biggest fights of 2020. Opinions remain divided on whom will prevail in the three-belt junior middleweight unification clash between Jermell Charlo (33-1, 17KOs) and Jeison Rosario (20-1-1, 14KOs). The two collide on September 26 as part of a stacked six-fight, split-bill Showtime Pay-Per-View event, where the winner will gain universal recognition as the king of the 154-pound division.

I have to give Jermell his props. It takes tremendous balls to take two back to back tough fights. He needs to proceed with extreme caution with Rosario because he is very hungry, young and strong.

I agree and I also believe that Charlo should learn from Julian Williams' mistakes as far as standing right in front of Rosario from the opening bell. Charlo has plenty of dog in him, however it be wise for him to mix in some movement because we know Rosario can punch but we don't know how well he can box yet.

Tough fight for Jermell as Rosario isn’t just some caveman who walks forward!

He has subtle moves and has good counter punching skills plus heavy hands!

The bodywork will be key from both but I think Jermell’s jab and timing might make the difference while the X factor will be Rosario’s counters an feints!

I think Rosario will be easier for Charlo than Harrison! Rosario does have a better chin than Harrison, but not as much boxing skills. If Lubin beats Gausha, I would rather see him fight the winner of Charlo vs. Rosario! I would like to see Lara vs. Madrimov! I don't know how Hearn is going to get Madrimov a title shot, but I would like to see him fight Lara or Hurd ASAP!

Madrimov just won final WBA eliminator for Rosario/Charlo winner.

Rosario possess heavy hands but his stamina is a suspect.
If Charlo survives the first 3 rounds, he will knock out Rosanio late in the fight.
This fight will not go to the cards.

I don't trust the WBA! They have too many "Champions!'

Think it works that way? I wouldn't be surprised if Lara becomes mandatory and Madrimov is ordered to fight Soro for the WBA World title or something.
