He still has some amateur tendencies and can be hit. 154 division is deep so there won't be any easy fights for him once he gets to the elite level. Like would he beat Culcay right now? How about Adames?
Well I'm certainly not as high on him as I was before the Walker fight, but I still see him as a likely top 5/10 guy who's got a good chance of snagging a title at some point, whereas if he doesn't tighten up a bit on the Walker performance he won't even get that far.

I think he has some real skills and I like the footwork but he just looked sloppy as hell against a dude who could box and move and wasn't afraid of firing back. Lotta work to do for Israil.

Yeah, I mean being a top 5-10 fighter in that weight class is certainly possible but he won't be taking over the division or anything. He's finding out like Kelly that coming in with your hands down is a whole different ball game in the pros. RJJ was one of a kind and these guys don't have his type of talent or reflexes. Madrimov did look sloppy vs Walker in the mid rounds and had had he not landed the big hook, he may have lost.

Hurd still deserves a title shot after his run and just having one loss to JRock in a terrific fight.

Castano beat Soro and to some beat Lara so it goes without saying he deserves a title shot. No clue what the hell happened with the Teixeira fight.
Yeah, you're right. If he gets passed Gausha there should be time for him to get some more fights in before his mando is called, I'm sure. IBF is also due. Maybe Castano gets the WBO by then as well so PBC could set it up for undisputed in the near future.

Gotta stop loading up. Give up the weights and wrestling outside of the ring. Focus on the basics.

No, certainly don't see the kid taking over... in fact I ain't really seen anyone hyping him that much. The main shit there's been was my own prospect focus thread:

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

But as I explain in that and my other threads I deliberately lean heavy on the hyperbole to try to get some enthusiasm going about these kids. Ain't necessarily that I expect 'em to go all the way, just a bit of fun to try to get people interested and maybe a little invested in 'em.
