Does every topic comes around to black and white?
Is there a inate need for people to have a symbol to
make them feel good about themselves?
Why does it matter? And what do you get from it?
      Please elaborate. Thank you.

How quickly did the Eastern Europeans took over the HW division?
        Who could have thought?

Are there any Black fighters in the division that could potentially dominate?

Rahman - Maskaev has his number.
Brewster - Lyakhovich has already beat him and who knows when will he be able to fight again
Peter - Klitschko already has a "W" over him and would feel a lot more comfortable if there is ever a rematch
        Byrd - No comments needed
Toney - Too out-of-shape, too small, and is getting old

That only leaves the unbeaten Calvin "The Boxing Banker" Brock and possibly Shannon "The Cannon" Briggs as the only black hopes? Does either of them have what it takes?

So my question to you is, who is, or will be the new black hope?

There is also a lot of new talent that keeps coming from the same Eastern European block:
        Ruslan Chagaev
        Sultan Ibragimov
        Vladimir Virchis
        Alexander Dimitrenko
        Alexander Povetkin
        Roman Greenberg
        Albert Sosnowski

Does it mean that the young Americans have lost interest in boxing and as many say are more into football and basketball? Or is it the fact that the sport of Boxing grew in the Eastern European countries, producing quality opponents/champions from areas who have never competed in the passed?

i wouldn go this far becuase nobodies dominating

more like peter was fortunate to lose a decision,,,,he should have been knocked out in that last round. wlad let him off the hook way too many times. I dont think peter will take a rematch. just my opinion

brewster would have less of a chance than peter of beating wlad in a rematch in my opinion. all wlad would have to do is box and be patient like he's been and its an easy win. he punched himself out last time which enabled brewster to find him easily and even so it took a tremendously hungry brewster ( remember him crying at the press conference) to get off the canvas and absorb tremendous punishment. brewster has taken a lot of punches in that fight and since and has probably also lost the hunger now that he's made some good money. I just doubt he'll be the same fighter and even if he is its doubtful he'd beat the more measured wlad of today

Did Toney say there will never be a white champion before Wladimir won the world title then? I think Toney said it because a white man hasnt beaten him yet. I think he needs to step in the ring with Wladimir or Vitali and the other eastern europeans and stop having his ass handed to him by afro americans and lookalikes of himself called samuel peters.

What he said, unfortunately, due to some of the ugly racist history of boxing we place too much emphasis on a boxer's race. I'm black and I don't care if all the champs weren't Black. I just want to see good entertaining fights.
