think its time for one of the mexican heros - Gilberto Ramirez, David Benavitez or Saul Alvarez to step up and fight Beterbiev or Bivol

The weakest of the bunch is Zurdo, Benavidez would be a monster at 175 since he’s still yet to hit his prime!

Canelo at 175 will come when he’s putting the finishing touches to his legacy prolly 34-37

Bivol/JSH happened last year. It was so one sided I have no interest in seeing it again lol

          That’s fine, it’s boxing!

Numerous fights have been one sided and then the rematch happens and the opposite happens for the second fight!

Not one fight will be the same plus Smith seems to have improved!

The Smith that fought Alvarez is night an day from the one that fought Bivol if you watched!

Smith was actually boxing, setting up his shots and not just looking for the big shot, i think he does better in a rematch IMO!

I agree smith looked much better against Alvarez than he has in the past, but Eleider also looked old and lost.

That said, they should have made that fight for the WBO. Nobody cares about the two Russians lol

Likely true that it was a mix of Smith actually improving on his craft and working on new stuff and Alvarez being older and having a bad game plan!

Nonetheless I think he has a better chance vs Bivol next time cuz he knows what he has to do differently!

I agree with the WBO belt should’ve been awarded to Smith jr, Salamov and Vlasov might not be fighting no time soon and I definitely would be picking Smith to beat either even though he’ll have a harder time with Vlasov due to his style!

Crazy how Smith jr was looked at as nothing more than a contender with just a big punch now he’s on the verge of being a champion and has now added more tools to his arsenal!

                Alvarez aint Bivol ....

For sure Smith Jr did look good, but again any decent fighter who's offered close to zero opposition in the ring will look like a superstar... I don't think neither of those guys mentioned here go trough Beterbiev...

And the Smith jr that fought Bivol the first time isn’t remotely the same as the one that fought Alvarez!

He was actually using his jab, not winging punches hoping something lands, he was taking his time setting up his punches and working the body!

Bivol fought a Smith who was just coming forward throwing punches and hoping something lands!

We already know Smith if he lands flush can do damage to Bivol as we seen near the end of round 10 where he caught Bivol and Bivol was out on his feet but fortunately for him the bell saved him!

Smith won’t be coming in doing the same thing next time around!

Beterbiev isn’t invincible, he can be beat!

He’s been hurt and dropped by fighters lesser than both Bivol and Joe Smith!

Anyways those 3 IMO are the best at 175 and would love to see them all fight each other multiple times!

                  Beterbiev
                  Bivol
                  Smith Jr
