Let’s also give him credit for Cotto. It was a 1 lb catch weight, and that is not the end of the world. Manny is most certainly an ATG. He ain’t better than mayweather, but anyone wasting their time saying he does not have a first ballot HOF / ATG resume is just hating.

He had 3 close fights w Marquez. Close fights count too. Barrera. Marquez. Morales. Mosely. Cotto. De la Hoya. Mayweather. He’s faced legends. Won most against most of them.

Bradley. Margarito. Thurman. Hatton. Broner. Clottey. He’s faced second tier guys. Guys who have won multiple belts. He’s beat most.

Not many have perfect records. And those who do definitely have some questionable names on them. Maybe the names are top tier but there was a catch weight or someone coming off a recent loss or someone being old or a close decision that many felt was bad. That’s boxing. Floyd’s got those. Calzaghe has those. Name a fighter who doesn’t ?

    Anyway, enough for me.

I actually agree with you. The only thing is Calzaghe is not held on the same pedestal as Manny even though he unified the 168 division and retired undefeated.
There are many (mostly Filipinos) that’ll put Manny on top of Roy Jones for example.

Regardless, I get your point and it makes sense

Ease off the crack, pumpkin. They'll be lucky to make half of what they made in a Floyd fight.

Look at his PPV numbers when he is the headliner compared to when he is with another big name opponent.
Hm.. how do I put this. Isn't it logical? Do you think Canelo would make the same PPV numbers if he fights Gabriel Rosado rather than GGG? Or AJ fights Oscar Rivas rather than Fury?

Hmm is right. You completely ignored my response to your comment. You claimed pac v Connor would do better than Floyd v connor. Yet if you look at Pac's historical PPV sales and money generated you can see that almost all of his PPV with a common opponent as Floyd has been substantially less in both buys and money generated. This is not opinion, this is simple statistics whether you want to believe them or not. Pac used to rely on Mexican partners to draw for his PPv sales and that is how he made his name. After that he started to rely on his opponents be it Oscar, Hatton, Cotto etc to sell PPV's. Look at his PPV when he is the sole headliner and his sales are not that great. He still got paid a lot which is interesting since his PPV sales were not that good but that is something Arum needs to deal with.

why would anyone buy this fight? I mean it's already been proven the mcgreggor can box only at a basic level and after 4 rounds is basically done i would say, now if mcgreggor was a ufc champ again and showed he was also working on his boxing then maybe this fight might sell.......

The whole thing is about money and a big WWE type audience purely business as it was with Floyd only he was retired not holding a current title or still competing when he did it, Manny shouldn't do it until after retired because to do it now is locking up the title and taking the opportunity away from somebody fighting for it.

The Irony is all the BS when Floyd did it and the same people are talking Manny up now, well on second thoughts that bias has always been there.

You confused me with someone else. I never claimed that Pacman's numbers will beat Floyd's vs Conor. That would be ludicrous, don't you think?

I would want to see GGG vs McGregor just to see how a bully gets squashed by a locomotive. Another humble pie for Conor and he would be almost a role model. If his battered ego would allow him to continue, of course.
