One of the reasons there was so much interest in Floyd vs Conor is because both can trash talk. FFS, these guys gathered more crowds during build-up than some champions. Pacman isn't much of a trash talker and Conor himself got much more mild after Khabib put him in his place. I don't see this fight making half of what Floyd's fight made, although still not peanuts, of course. But from sportsmanship perspective that's a joke.

————So what?
Floyd fought Marquez who had already lost to Pacquiao, fought Oscar who had already lost to Hopkins, fought Judah who had already lost to Tszyu ..
Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Leonard fought each others left overs as well.
This is Boxing..fighters face common opponents especially if they're in the same division.
Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield,
Not when they are coming off one-sides losses.
Also leaving out context just tells your lack of boxing knowledge.
Marquez beat PAC four times. Of course it’s debatable hence the controversial endings and rematches.
More important, the reason I’m stating those facts is because Manny is considered an ATG by beating guys who were coming off losses (Brandon Rios, Mosley, Broner etc) or dubious catchweights (Cotto, Margarito, Oscar) or just irrelevant guys in the 147 division (Vargas, Mathysse, Algieri, Horn, Broner, Clottey etc).
Hardly a resume for an ATG, don’t you think?
Unless of course you are Filipino then no need for a debate.Comment

I’m a Floyd fan through and through but let’s give Pac his credit for Morales, Barrera, and his close wins vs Marquez. He was doing his thing and fighting top names well before he rose up to welter.
Let’s also give him credit for Cotto. It was a 1 lb catch weight, and that is not the end of the world. Manny is most certainly an ATG. He ain’t better than mayweather, but anyone wasting their time saying he does not have a first ballot HOF / ATG resume is just hating.
He had 3 close fights w Marquez. Close fights count too. Barrera. Marquez. Morales. Mosely. Cotto. De la Hoya. Mayweather. He’s faced legends. Won most against most of them.
Bradley. Margarito. Thurman. Hatton. Broner. Clottey. He’s faced second tier guys. Guys who have won multiple belts. He’s beat most.
Not many have perfect records. And those who do definitely have some questionable names on them. Maybe the names are top tier but there was a catch weight or someone coming off a recent loss or someone being old or a close decision that many felt was bad. That’s boxing. Floyd’s got those. Calzaghe has those. Name a fighter who doesn’t ?
Anyway, enough for me.Comment

the sales numbers would be right up there if not surpass it you are smoking something if you think otherwise. pac put himself back on the map with that win over thurman and conor came back with a 1st round ko after the khabib fight. pac doesn't need to trash talk he's the good guy the humble champion mcgregor would be the villain. mcgregor has a clear size advantage conor's delusional fan base will eat that up and believe their guy can win. everybody else will want to see conor get brutally knocked. One of the reasons there was so much interest in Floyd vs Conor is because both can trash talk. So are you claiming to be his personal accountant? If the IRS is investigating him and he is being accused of evading taxes which is public knowledge. I do not have to be his accountant. Why do you think he was suddenly fighting outside of the US during the time he was being investigated?Comment

I want to reply to this so I have a history of you saying this fight will surpass what Floyd and Connor did. Pac has made a lot of money in the past but he has largely had to rely on his opponents to sell PPV. Look at his PPV numbers when he is the headliner compared to when he is with another big name opponent.the sales numbers would be right up there if not surpass it you are smoking something if you think otherwise. pac put himself back on the map with that win over thurman and conor came back with a 1st round ko after the khabib fight. pac doesn't need to trash talk he's the good guy the humble champion mcgregor would be the villain. mcgregor has a clear size advantage conor's delusional fan base will eat that up and believe their guy can win. everybody else will want to see conor get brutally knocked.Comment
