Who's been calling this a lucky punch? You'd have to be a complete novice and a total brainlet to not tell that it was clearly premeditated. The whole concept of the "lucky punch" is 99% a BS excuse for poor losers anyway, you have to be prepared to defend yourself against any possible attack at all times.

Povetkin landed a well executed punch , in fact in boxing the uppercut is the hardest punch to master and you could see povetkin going to body and inching closer and when he landed that shot you could see him setting it up.
A lucky punch is nota text book uppercut especially when it’s delivered with such venom.

At least boxing fans realise there was nothing lucky about it. Another example of how out of touch the media is with everyone else. I watched the Sky team on IFL trying to redefine the entire event. They are in an unreachable bubble of Hearn yes men. A total echo chamber. Such is the power of needing to pay the mortgage.Comment

Nothin’ lucky about that punch. If you work on a punch because you can see the negative tendencies of your upcoming opponent - how in the world is that “lucky.” What’s surprising was Whytes wack weak chin! One punch laid him out!?
Marquez worked specifically in camp on the punch that left Pacquiao flattened like an old condemned casino building. Yet still doubters chalk it up to a lucky punch. Ridiculous.
Dillian was ripe for the uppercut - he looked strong and aggressive, but looked like his one dimensional camp focused only on him raising his hands to his temples when nervously reacting to getting hit. Dil Dil looked like he didn’t work on any other evasive/defensive movements. His redundant BIG mouth had me expecting much much more....
Wilder, Joshua or Fury would’ve definitely cleaned his clock on that night.... There’s nothing ‘lucky’ on diligently planning to use specific punches in training camp - to catch specific opponents. It’s why you ‘watch tapes.’
It’s no wonder why Hearn was trying desperately to feed Whyte to Wilder while protecting his cash cow.Comment

100% agreed. A lucky punch would be some crazy overhand left from a bad angle while off balance lolPovetkin landed a well executed punch , in fact in boxing the uppercut is the hardest punch to master and you could see povetkin going to body and inching closer and when he landed that shot you could see him setting it up.
