I think the bitterness remains because Manny’s fans deep down, especially after the performance against Thurman, know that Pacquaio should have annihilated Horn and he Roach took him way too lightly.
Rather than admit their guy lacked professionalism and got what he deserved it’s easier to deflect and shift the blame on to Horn.

Should be obvious now that Horn's choice to leave welter was career suicide. He's had 4 fights above that weight now and he's been stopped twice and was badly hurt again in a third. He's definitely not great at any weight but he might have been able to keep himself somewhat relevant in the second rung of the welterweight division. Instead he looks like he's on his way to becoming another Anthony Mundine.

When Pac sparred Tszyu for the Thurman fight....

Tim Tszyu is impressed with Manny Pacquiao’s ring IQ and experience

During an interview with YouTube channel Powcast Sports, Tszyu said the experience just being part of Pacquiao’s camp is crazy and is cherishing the moment.

“This experience is crazy to me,” said Tszyu who just finished a sparring session with Pacquiao. “Being in the ring with an eight time world champion, not many people can say they’ve done that.”

“Everything’s there, Manny Pacquiao is still Manny Pacquiao. He will never lose his speed, his power, he will never lose it. All he needs to do is get in perfect condition. He still got six weeks, he is training hard everyday, twice a day, he is pushing himself so every thing will come.”

There were a lot of close rounds and that's where aggression can grab you points. I'm assuming that's how the judges saw it.

No doubt he got lucky with the judges, but he earned his luck that night. You don't see many fighters commit like he did against someone of Pac's quality.

A teacher gave every single thing he had and beat an all time great to win a world title. Fk, how can people be so down on that? I think it's brilliant and he gets massive credit.

Not so much tonight. He should retire while he can still remember that day.
Based on what I've heard from people who complain about that fight, it wasn't really about the punch stats. It was Horn repeatedly using dirty tactics during the fight and not getting any deductions from the referee especially the elbowing. You can't really blame them for that.

yeh agreed man, horn may not be a great fighter and his style is a bit of an eyesore off his game respectful and a good bloke. Looked pretty off his game tonight, likely would have lost regardless, Tszyu was excellent.

I did say he would stop and outclass him. Horn did well in his career for somebody so limited time to retire

Man, two jokes I dislike getting destroyed within one week. Hopefully we don't have to hear from Horn again after he embarrassed himself. His coach crying about judges they didn't even need.

Horn just isn't good. Tough, proud fighter but very limited. Now that he has gone up the weight classes, he doesn't have the same size/strength advantage and is struggling.

                      He won a belt

                      Hardly a loser
As for Pac going life and death with Horn, if that is so, then how was it that Pac outboxed Horn so completely. Note that I said outboxed and not out MMA'd Horn. Pac completely outboxed Horn, yet corrupt/incompetent judges gifted the decision to Horn. As he never had the skills or talent, Horn has never belonged in boxing; rather, Horn should have fought MMA or bareknuckle with the other skill deficient, talentless bruisers.
