Absolutely YES! lomachenko has the wba wbc and the wbo belt. lopez has the ibf belt. lomacheno is going to beat down and embarrass lopez in front of his daddy and the rest of the world watching on tv. Major props to bob arum Top rank and espn for not putting it on PPV which they easily could have done. lets not go full ****** with PPVs like those clowns at pbc.

The WBC really did a good job convoluting the titles.

On record, the WBC has Devin Haney as it's "World Champion". BUT....Lomachenko is recognized as the "Franchise" Champion" which grants him the chance of fighting for other Unification fights without having to go through a "mandatory" and or being able to fight for a WBC title anytime he wants.

On the surface though, again from what I gather, Loma vs Lopez will only be for the WBA / IBF / WBO titles...NOT THE WBC title.

Similarly, Canelo is recognized as the "WBC Franchise Middleweight Champion" like Lomachenko is at Lightweight BUT isn't listed as WBC World Champion, Jermall Charlo is now. Neither Canelo nor Loma essentially "vacated" the titles more so than the WBC putting them on a pedestal while granting 2 fighters "World Champion" status ultimately for them to collect a nice sanctioning fee. That's basically the "Avenue" WBC is talking about creating...for themselves.

I like Haney, but let’s be real, he’s not a world champion.

No because the WBC is ******.

That being said, I don’t care.

Lomachenko is the champion. Anyone who thinks Lopez or Haney can claim that they’re the champion at 135 is insane.

I could care less about undisputed it means nothing. The important thing is that these are the top 2 lightweights in the world and the winner of this is the lineal lightweight champion of the world.

Seems like alotta bendable principles in my thread. A lot of "its ok if he did it but it wouldn't be for someone else given the same scenario." & also it sounds like a lot of opinion giving & no concrete evidence this fight is undisputed. Á la Fury being lineal but no one says a damn thing about Crawford being lineal.

How is he not when the guy who had it gave it to him?

I find it hard to believe Lopez or Haney wouldn't tell you they're the champion at 135.

Do you feel this way about Canelo as well?

According to who? What makes Teofimo undoubtedly behind Lomachenko? Cause he beat Commey?

Belts are meaningless. Lightweight is an open, hot division now, with no dominant champion.

If Lomachenko had kept the WBC belt then it would be an undisputed fight.

But he dropped it rather than be forced to have Devin Haney as his mandatory.
