Though I am American I don't always cheer for the American. It depends on who I like more, but if it is the same I cheer for American. Nothing wrong in cheering for your countrymen.

Right now, all of the current beltholders are Eastern Europeans, but the only one who in my opinion will have a really long title range is Wladimir Kltischko. Maskaev, Liakhovitch, and Valuev could all easily lose to Peter, Toney, Brock, or even Rahman since his fight with Maskaev was close.

I don't think any of the guys you mention would "lose easily" to any of the american HW you mentioned. Liakhivic (spelling) showed he was durable and strong versus brewster and his agressiveness would make him dangerous versus any one of those other fighters. Valuev is just so big he would be a difficult fight for anyone and no one would get him out of there fast without a struggle, especially not Toney. Maskaev is probably the weakest title holder and he beat rahman, wether it was close or not is irrelevent, point is it wont be as easy as you claim.

If you consider Maskaev a foreigner then so is Peter because he was born in Nigeria.

Brock is probably the best hope at this point but i just don't see it in him at this point, maybe shannon briggs pulls the upset.

Are only hope at this point to grab a belt is a guy who next faces a beastly puncher with 1 hitter quitter status sprewwed all over his punches and 1st must win his next fight and hopefully another which would be for a belt! There are others out there such as Brewster who could ultimaltly be figthing for a belt in the next few months but what true hope do we have on him/them to reign victorious!

hey ****fest, are you a fan of boxing or a fan of american boxing?

Maskaev is now as American as any of the immigrant forebears of today's natural-born Americans. The United States of America was founded by immigrants and a very vast majority of the current natural-born Americans can only trace their roots to immigrants, be they ones that came aboard the Mayflower or people who came later under whatever circumstances.

The United States is often referred to as, "A Nation of Immigrants" and it's motto is "E pluribus unum", roughly translated, "From many, one," mainly in recognition of its being composed of many states, but, also in acknowledgement of the diverse cultures of its people, mostly immigrants with a few indigenous.

If one deducts all those who have immigrant forebears from the current population, one reduces that population drastically to members of the many Indian nations, Eskimos, native Hawaiians...

Edit: To borrow a line from a song from the 70's, each one "has the right to be here."
