    I rate Povetkin/Ortiz/Pulev the same

They are old contenders, too old to pick world title. They are no threat to Joshua or Fury.

Ortiz beats all fringe guys like Hammer or Cojanu.
    Pulev beats also Hughie Fury.
Povetkin the same. Povetkin beat all Hammer/Wach alike guys available.

I think Pulev, Povetkin and Ortiz are no competition on elite level ( AJ, Fury), but they can compete with Parker, Ruiz, Wilder, but probably they lose all those fights.

    Thoughts?

I am 100% sure, Whyte stops Povetkin, to be honest.

    i think its fair.....

but whats totally BS is you automatically lumping wilder in with parker and ruiz....because he has one L....yet somehow think AJ is elite with an embarrssing L to a much lesser fighter than fury....he avenged it...in boring fashion by using the mega advantages he had in size, length and athleticism.......

AJ has done nothing to seperate himself from wilder....nothing....so if youre going to label the elite of the division...call it fury...or call it fury, wilder and AJ.....you leaving wilder out shows bias

im a wilder fan...and im willing to admit that ortiz is on the level of pulev and povetkin if you wish....but remember...wilder knocked ortiz out twice....he also put fury on the deck twice....you trying to call AJ elite while putting wilder down another notch shows complete bias...i know that wilder isnt a great boxer..he isnt conventional...but he still has elite pop and athleticism that is a cut above almost everyone at HW

I don't think Pulev should be rated that high. Good jab and everything but a step down from those other two.

wilder knocked ortiz out twice...put fury on the deck twice....fury is a 6-9 fighter who dethroned wlad

AJ was knocked out by andy ruiz...6 ft tub of goo with short arms and slow feet....he avenged it....and went the distance while playing safety mode

elite of the HW division is either A. Fury by himself...or B. Fury then AJ/wilder in whatever order you want to put those two

          Right on.

I believe you are underrating AJ a bit. He does have solid wins over Povetkin and Whyte so that’s why you have to consider him top 5.

I’ve always said he loses to Wilder but I think he can beat Fury.

I could be miserably wrong of course but he’s chinny meaning Wilder has a good chance at catching him and he did get into AJ’s head.

Joshua on the flip side might have the balance of tools to beat Fury. I’m not sold on Fury’s power just because of the KO of Wilder.

Wilder was just off in that fight. All his excuses were valid, what wasn’t valid as a warrior was making them in the first place. He may have gotten the soul
Beat out of him, we will see.

But I agree Wilder is elite as well. Same as AJ.

          Top 5 any weight class
          Means elite.

            Povetkin has an actual resume

Ortiz and Pulev do not. Unfair to group them together

Pulev did better against Hughie then Povetkin did . Was literally mugging him with just jabs . Ortiz fighting Hammer and Kaufman doesn’t even qualify here because he’s fought no rated guys to compare him to similar guys the OP brought up with no recent win . Pulevs style is more difficult to get a win ,he’s bigger then both guys and doesn’t get hit clean as much and if I’m not mistaken he has a win over Ortiz in the ams I thought ?

i dont think im underrating AJ....im just saying if hes elite wilder is still elite....if wilder isnt considered elite in HW division AJ shouldnt be either and it would just be fury......thats all

i still think AJ is good and dangerous...although maybe less dangerous after being knocked out...and maybe wilder might be too...weve yet to see

Yeah, so.......? Povetkin did better against Wlad than Pulev did. There's another triangle theory on how to rate fighters if that's how you do it...
