Did the WBC rat out Canelo?

Seems kind of shady that they put it out there that he requested to fight for the vacant title against Yildirim and that they didn’t order it. That’s not how you treat your star.

Well they did the same to Lomachenko. Because they would NOT want to absorb the blame from the boxing world.

I think Canelo has been treated rather grand and with the looks of the future It'll continue, so I wouldn't feel sorry for him too much... He'll be fine.

WBC were getting stick for this so they rattled him out. You Can't be shady yourself and then not expect something shady back especially in the boxing business...

No. The WBC wouldn't dare do such thing, they don't want to be on Canelo's bad side again, they basically offered him a free title, it's down to Canelo's team and DAZN to figure the rest out.

WBC is pretty transparent. And they don't want fighters hating them.

I think WBC and IBF is kinda tied for the best belts, followed by WBA, and then WBO.

Simply fight Andrade for the vacant belt. He can make up ducking undipusted at 160. I'd pay a single price for that fight. Andrade is inhouse.

What difference does it make if it’s the truth?

They are pandering to him because of his large fanbase and because he is Mexican. The already said it was important to them to have a Mexican champion.

Canelo has choices. He could always fight the Ring magazine 168 pound champion Callum Smith for Smith's title rather than fight a mediocre guy who lost his last fight and was KOed by Eubank. That's a gimme fight for a vacant title and Canelo will once again be a 16 to 1 betting favorite like he was against Fall down Fielding.
