Good rule. Dirty boxers always foul as if that was unintentionally. They would think twice before doing that with this rule.

When was the last time it was actually used in a pro fight? If a ref deducted a point from a fighter because he didn't get cut from an accidental headbutt, I would think something shady was going on.
Instead of trying to make more sense of their rankings and titles, the WBC is busy removing nonsensical rules that they created.

Still wondering why Fury was given a point deduction in the second fight ? He was subtley warned for something then then Wilder seemed to be getting ****** up the action was stopped and Fury getting penalized .

Last meaningful fight I remember it being used in was Oscar/Sweet Pea.

Jeff Horn and Shawn Porter are dirty.

              Maidana is is a pigsty.

Rabbit punches, karate chops, muo Thai knees, multiple INTENTIONAL low blows, American football tackles, offensive clinches and holding the ropes to stop lateral movement, biting fingers, the list goes on and on.

I personally haven't seen a fighter dirtier than Maidana.

I heard Salido can give him a run for his money, I'll have to go and check out the Loma vs Salido fight to be sure.
