Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: Others at 135 Talk A Lot, Not Fighting Opponents Like Campbell

The WBC's 58th annual convention was held virtually this week because of the on going COVID-19 pandemic. Several fighters were made available to the media via virtual Q&A sessions including rising lightweight star Ryan Garcia, who was joined by Golden Boy matchmaker Robert Garcia.

That's a shot at Haney and Tank because everyone else is fighting someone of significance.

I wouldn't go that far, Ryan.

Luke Campbell hasn't done much himself in the pros other than losing to Lomachenko. It's not a big assignment.

      You should beat him soundly.

Ryan and Lopez are the only top lightweights looking for real fights. Haney, Tank and the other clown just run their mouths.

Yea losing to Loma, but giving him the most competitive fight of his career (except the dirty, scrappy Salido who ducked a rematch for dear life, because he knew what the crack was). There's a split decision loss to Linares who, although his age, is still a highly skilled, elite fighter.

And let's have it right, unless the WBC was on the line then Garcia would more than likely stay clear. I think Garcia will win by decision but let's have it right, nobody is calling out Campbell. A guy that, besides reigning world champions and Linares, is the most skilled guy in the division.

Convincing win or not though, Garcia would get ****** up by Loma. Haney and Tank would too.

If Haney picks Fortuna, then the only top guy not fighting anyone is Davis. And Santa Cruz, a guy who will be three weight classes smaller of fight night does not count.

REAL TALK, Ryan Garcia has went backwards not forward : Ryan was suppose to fight Jorge Linares, who whooped Luke Campbell, but thanks for ducking, Rihanna! Now Jorge came down with Corona for Javier Fortuna, and we are left with this bum ass sham of a fight for the 'Interim' -- why does Luke keep getting undeserved opportunities with the WBC again?

Luke Campbell has been in the top 10 at 135 for a few years now.

So Jorge Linares whooped Luke Campbell by split decision? Interesting

Garcia's best wins so far are Romero Duno and Francisco Fonseca. They are rated #36 and #57 respectively. Campbell's best win is Yvan Mendy who is #12 and he has a split decision loss to Jorge Linares who is #8. I say all that to say that Campbell is Garcia's best opponent by far
