    Does Povetkin take step aside

Would it be fair to say that Povetkin has double motivation to beat Whyte this Saturday? Realistically he isn't chasing opportunity to become some long term champion...and he has already held a belt anyways...so his real benefit is in the double payday for half the work. I'm sure he would take the step aside and walk off into the sunset.

Ever heard of Wikipedia or Google??

Alexander Vladimirovich "Sasha" Povetkin (Russian: Алекса́ндр Влади́мирович Пове́ткин; born 2 September 1979) is a Russian professional boxer who held the WBA (Regular) heavyweight title from 2011 to 2013

I believe Povetkin has no intention fighting Fury or, hell no, rematching Joshua.

He would probably take step aside money, allow Whyte to fight mandatory. Povetkin would fight Ortiz or rematch Hunter for another payday.

He doesn’t have to take side step money if he wins and takes Whytes spot , his mandatory title shot won’t be up until the date he won within a year which is August 22 2021 so he won’t even be offered it . He gets a title fight pending on not losing any other fight obviously. Why would he be fighting Whyte if he wasn’t pursuing the WBC belt ? Makes no sense . The motivation is getting the biggest payday which is a possible undisputed if he can grab the WBC belt .

Unless Wilder miraculously gets the title back and then you Would see a mandatory fight every two years and won’t see Povetkin in any form of WBC title fight even in a win later on ! Ha
