yes. i dont see how he 'lost badly' to barrera though? he almost had him outta there and unforunately for him kinda gave up after having his jaw broken. Bivol wasnt a horribile beating either he just got schooled the entire fight, didnt take a HUGE amount of damage from my recollection.

I love rooting for the underdog but having said that i dont see how he beats Alvarez? Alvarez arguiably has a better chin than anyone Joe's been in with, so the only route to victory (via KO) is highly unlikely. He cant outbox him so that route is void too. I hope im wrong though.

He started out good against Barrera then lost a huge majority of rounds. He can b side to some guys but a title shot, no. God no....

considering the amount of undeserving title shots in recent years, i dont see why Smith getting one would make people get up in arms. I dont see how you could begrudge him getting one ?

Not exactly up in arms it's just knowing he can't succeed on that level doesn't make me very interested. He won't get passed Alvarez let alone Vlasov so it's nothing we'll have to see anyway.

He probobly won't but acting like its a given is a bit silly, considering his power can KO anyone. also Vlasov V Smith would be a near pick em lol. I like the guy but you're talking about a guy that lost nearly every round agaisnt glowacki and zurdo

Hart, Vlasov, Barrera, Ramirez, Jack, Browne are all on a simular level. Apart from Beterbiev & Bivol the rest of the top 10/15 of the divison is interchangable..

I mean, he'll make for some fun fights but the skill level just isn't there. I wanted to see him bomb it out with Johnson tbh.

Joe does seem to hit a wall vs accomplished boxers... but Alvarez has a lot of miles on him, and has had injuries. Could this be the time Alvarez chokes? Always great to see Joe fight, and I hope he pulls out a W for this one. I keep thinking how Beterbiev would hold up to one of Joe's bomb's landing on his dome. The stuff dream fights are made of for the fans.

Hopefully Alvarez is not allowed to hold a lot inside. I think Joe wins.
