Nothing is impossible and Martinez could very well compete at 45. Again, as many have stated, how can he fix his knees? They were gone the last time we saw him in the ring. I'm not a doctor so I don't know if there's surgeries or treatments that could help with that. If he's motivated and wants to push himself, I'm okay with that. I just hope he's careful and knows how to measure himself. I think he's doing that by choosing a 36 year old with an okay record. Boxing is a young man's sport, but then again you do have older fighters that have defied father time.

          And BHop is one fighter...??

If Pacquiao can jump 8 weight classes why cant everyone?

If Lomachenko can win 2 Olympic gold medals why cant everyone?

If Brady can play until hes 45 why cant evey quarterback?

There are exceptions to every rule even if they apply to 99% of everyone

Come on, man, you know athletes including boxers are increasingly competing into their late 30s and 40s. Nutrition, fitness and recovery have come on leaps and bounds from just a couple of decades ago. Or maybe I'm just tripping

Surprised he hasn't signed to fight Canelo. DAZN would get the ratings, and Canelo would get a cool 20-30 million to KO a retired legend with a bum leg. Everyone wins but the fans, and Canelo takes no risk - their favorite recipe.

Yeah, youre tripping. Which elite athletes?

Ive got three since the year 2000 - BHop, Manny, Wlad. Who else?

Floyd wasnt even elite when he beat Pacman...and he was only 38. Floyds last elite win was against Canelo at 35-36 which was nothing short of incredible.

                GGG is done.
                Ward was done at 33-34.
Mosley was done after the Cotto fight ~35 years.
                Calzaghe done around 35
                Froch 32-33
                Cotto was done around 34.
Marquez was past prime for his historic win against Pacman and he was ~38 then.
                Bradley retired at 33-34
Adonis Stevenson was way past prime when he was KTFO late 30s
                Darchiniyan early-mid 30s
                Gamboa early-mid 30s

So, bro, please tell me which elite boxers (or athletes) compete into their late 30s and early 40s???

Or do you mean guys like RJJ who get knocked across the ring and KTFO for shits and giggles?
