I mean part of what he said is true, the lifespan of a boxer has increased, for all athletes actually due to advancements in just about every aspect of athletics.

The problem for Sergio is that bum knee of his. But whatever I’m curious to see how he looks. I know his knee will never be 100% but maybe it can be just good enough to get him thru fights. I’m sure he’s been sparring and running in camp.

My opinion means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's his decision, and he's the one who has to live with his decisions. Not me. I've ground over things I never did do back in the day that I should've done. By my age of 67, most people have, if they're being honest. So all I can do is wish Martinez well in his return, and hope he doesn't get injured again.

Hopefully all this inspirational talk isnt really ploy talk because he's really strapped for cash. He was one of those really good boxers that I enjoyed watching. But at his age right now, with his bum knee? PS4 boxing would be his best bet fighting against all the greats - past & present

If he quietly got his knees fixed and he's match fit then why not? 45 is the new 35. Just don't want to see him hobbling about the ring again.

How are you "sure" of this? Sergio didnt even spar for his Cotto fight during his real career. Why would a 5+ year older Sergio be BETTER?!?

Thankfully hes fighting a Danny Garcia level tuneup so he should be okay regardless

45 is NOT the new 35. You mightve heard that in a rap song but in sports it does not apply. At all
