when people talked rigged/farce fights why is golovkin/brook given a pass

i see people talking about fake/rigged/setup fights all the time on boxing boards....i see a few posters claiming that most of wilders fights have been rigged

    lets revisit brook/golovkin

defenders of this fights call it completely organic

golovkin was on camera being asked about maybe fighting brook more than 6 months before....he shot it down of course...which was smart...not something youd want to admit to be looking at

loeffler once offered some insight in an interview about how they select fights and the whole process for them...he mentioned that they go in with several targets...usually at least 3...one being a main target with others being guys they would move on to if they couldnt secure a deal with the top target in time

yet many claim that eubank lost his pen at the last minute and brook was the only guy offered and the only suitable replacement on such short notice...in order to save the date

why did team golovkin not move on to a plan b or c when they couldnt secure a signature in ample time from eubank? kinda makes u wonder...i feel most a-list/a-side fighters operate the same way loeffler explained...they have a time frame in which they want a signature from the opponent...if they dont have it they usually go to a backup...yet somehow golovkins team went to the last minute with eubank...with no signature....and then pulled the old "well brook was the only guy available on short notice...he was the only guy offered to us"...

why did brook look so suprised and upset when his team stopped the fight?

i saw manny pac claim a torn rotator cuff on the same arm that was firing off shots the entire fight.......im not sure brook was as damaged.....could it have been preemptive? brook claimed that he was "settling in"

some will claim that golovkin was about to murder him and brooks trainer was saving him...brook didnt seem to think all that

Kell Brook was frustrated at his trainer Dominic Ingle’s decision to end his world middleweight contest with Gennady Golovkin early but the Sheffield fighter vowed to return and compete at light-middleweight

"Brook confirmed that Golovkin had broken his eye socket in the previous round, which led to blurred vision, but he insisted he felt capable of fighting on. “When you start seeing three, four or five of him it’s difficult but I was tricking him, I was frustrating him,” said the 30-year-old “I hurt him, his legs buckled. I’m a warrior and I wanted to carry on. I was ready to fight on. Anyone who trains me knows that.”

"Asked about the decision Brook replied through somewhat gritted teeth: “You’ll have to ask Dominic why he did that.”

When the question was put to Ingle he justified the decision by insisting that his fighter was taking too much punishment. It was later confirmed that Brook was taken to hospital because of the damaged eye socket but his camp insisted it was a precautionary measure."

hey..im not saying it was rigged or fixed...or stopped early....but theres certainly some evidence to suggest theres the possibility this fight wasnt all on the up and up......i didnt like the way it all started and certainly thought it was a mismatch

i feel the same way about russell/crawford....there isnt even a UK audience or payday for crawford in that fight...makes 0 sense...at least golovkin had that going for him with brook

Well, the boxing gods were displeased with Khan/Brook and they were sacrificed for not fighting each other. It had to be done to restore balance to the boxing world. All has been well in the UK and boxing as a whole ever since. Fury has since returned and reclaimed one half of the throne, Canelo fought triple g twice and even beat GGG once. The boxing world was appeased.

(But Brook is better than Khan so people didn’f give GGG *AS* much s hit as they did Canelo for fighting autistic/chinless Khan. And the narrative was supposed to be GGG demolishing Canelo in 3 rounds... Sooo there was that agenda.)

Holy ****, shut up. You literally can't compare any situation without referencing Golovkin. You're either obsessed with him, lack boxing history (hence why you consistently use him as an example), or both.

what other options did ggg have? you pretend you dont know that jacobs and saunders both turned him down. you pretend that you dont know that canelo wasnt ready yet. what are these mystery fantasy options? he literally tried to fight saunders and jacobs for less money than he would have gotten to fight brook. its not like he went after brook because brook was the money man while putting those other fights on hold. its pretty standard to chase the money in boxing but he didnt do that and you are still complaining! he tried to fight better guys for less money first and you are still complaining!

he then tried to figth eubank who was a solid top 10 fighter and he got turned down. ok the brook fight was offered for huge money and no one else wants to fight lets do it. OH WHAT A FRAUD! he should have fought joe mcblow instead!

yes the fight was bad but the context is completley different. canelo avoided ggg(and everyone else) to fight khan. ggg tried to fight canelo, saunders, jacobs, and eubank and when they wouldnt he said fu-kk it give me the easy money. very different paths to get to that fight
