The problem with him fighting Thurman next is that would be the loser of a PPV getting another title shot rather than the winner. IMO this is a MAJOR problem boxing is facing because other combat sports, especially UFC, reward winning with a better fight. Fans appreciate that.

Arum threw all that money at Crawford solely so Haymon wouldn't control WW. At this point, Bob is stuck because Haymon has plenty of WW's and JMW's to make desired fights and lock Crawford out.

Crawford needs to think about doing what Floyd or Mikey did. Pay the money to get out of the TR deal and sign with PBC. Worked for Floyd but not Mikey IMO.

If not buy out the contract and go to DAZN to try and make a fight at 160 with Canelo for a monster payday.

Exactly... so no one should be expecting Arum to put money in him to fight another boxer who is just there for a big payday to then disappear again. Boxing need to stand up to these frauds. Take fights WHEN it meant something, WHEN the fans want it. NOT after losing your belts, NOT after having done *hit for years. Crawford/Thurman is a waste of money and time.

This is why COVID is a PoS, Pacquiao can't leave the country atm (Politicians in the Philippines have a travel ban so no point talking about fight dates until that is lifted). Crawford wants that fight, IMO Pac should give it to him but fight in the Philippines as his farewell fight.... (I don't think Bud will take that thou tbh since he thinks he is the A side LOL).

I just don't see them taking Thurman, he is too hungry and WAYYYY too much of a threat at this point.
