    Comments Thread For: Ewa Brodnicka-Mikaela Mayer Mandatory Title Fight Heads To Purse Bid

    Ten days ago, Ewa Brodnicka was armed with a new promotional deal that was to kick off with a straight away title unification bout. It now remains to be seen who will gain the rights to her next title defense. BoxingScene.com has learned that a purse bid hearing has been ordered by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) for Brodnicka's mandatory title defense versus unbeaten American challenger Mikaela Mayer. The session will take place Thursday, August 20 to be held virtually via Zoom conference call in lieu of traveling to WBO headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico given travel restrictions and health concerns due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

          I'm really not in favour of the sexual trivialisation of women's boxing, but Ewa is pretty damn hot. Fairly (75% ish) confident that Mikaela boxes round her though.

                          This is going to be a massive fight. Even the purse bid should be ****y, Top rank would now have to push Mayer massively since Ewa is now signed with Matchroom.

                              And how does he "play Hearns like a fiddled once again" in Fury-Wilder 3 and Fury-TBA? Maybe by dropping WBC belt and losing Fury-Joshua money, which is bigger than everything you mentioned altogether?

                                  Making Hearns put up the money for this fight and he doesn’t have to spend a dime like he did for Hooker-Ramirez an Lomachenko-Campbell!

                                      Hearn won't put up the money for Fury-Wilder 3 or Fury-TBA. He would put up the money for Whyte-Fury but Fury won't fight him.
