Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua Thinks Povetkin Could Upset The Odds in Whyte Fight

IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO Anthony Joshua views Alexander Povetkin as a very dangerous opponent for Dillian Whyte. Joshua scored a seventh round stoppage of Povetkin in 2018, and also knocked out Whyte in seven rounds in 2015.

Parker was cheated by head butt knock down and Whyte fouling. He pissed dirty vs Rivas and Chisora is a gate keeper at best. Povetkin is old and not even the same guy who lost to Joshua. Povetkin when he was Whytes age would of Koed him easily imo.

I guess we should do the same for all the noted wins on Ortiz's and Wilder's records but there aren't any to run down the never beat anyone. So just Fury and Joshua left then I guess ..

This used car sales man Hearn still claiming Whyte was waiting 1000 days. Meanwhile even UK media acknowledged that Whyte has turned down numerous opportunities to fight for a championship of any kind.

Even UK media has admitted that Whyte has turned down opportunities to fight for the WBC championship:

“WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has explained numerous times why Whyte has been bypassed. This is due to the Briton rejecting a final eliminator with Luis Ortiz.”

“So why hasn’t Whyte fought for a world title yet? – It’s simple as Whyte has passed up on several chances himself.”

This is from UK media WBN. Google

No, I wouldn't rule it out either. If only Povetkin's chin can hold up to the point of extending the fight into the later rounds where Whyte begins to lose stamina and fatigue; Then yes he has a chance of upsetting the odds. Remeber that Whyte has been dropped several times in recent fights and has tired late in fights.

Weasel Eddie selling his usual snake oil again? Everyone knows that Povetkin is used up and north of 40. He looked dreadful against a natural cruiserweight in his last fight, which he lost.

Not likely. Whyte is bigger, stronger, younger fighter.

I think only Joshua and Fury clearly beat Whyte.
