No. there are too many divisions already. Small heavyweights can move down to cruiserweight, if they want to. -

No there should not be a super heavyweight division. It would be pointless. The best cruiser weights almost always move up to heavyweight. If you have a super heavyweight division that starts at 250 pounds the champion of that weight would be considered the real heavyweight champion or badest boxer on the planet. That would be where the best money was at and any good heavyweight would want to beat him and be the champion and make the most money. If a 230 pound boxer was champion of the regular heavyweights who now fight between 200 and 250 pounds he would demand a fight with the champ of the new super heavyweight class. How would they turn him down???? Sorry but you only weigh 230 so you can't fight in the super heavyweight class? The 230 pound boxer would just eat his way up to 250 or put weight in his trunks or whatever he had to do to fight the super heavyweight champ. So really nothing would change. Smaller heavyweights don't want to be protected from super heavyweights. Fury now weighs 278 pounds but he does not punch as hard as 220 pound Wilder and lots of lots of heavyweights would love to fight him. A super heavyweight class serves no purpose and is useless. It would only cause confusion and protect nobody. The better smaller heavyweights will find a way to compete in the super heavyweights. Every good boxer over 200 pounds wants to be the champion of the entire world including men of any weight.Comment

Yep. There should never be a "Super" beside Heavyweight, the word "Heavyweight" in itself is iconic, since as a child at 6 years old, weighing at 50 pounds, you'll talk yourself up as a "World Heavyweight Champion" not a "World Super Heavyweight Champion."Comment
