Sad that this is how boxing fans behave isn’t it.

Floyd would beat Margarito with or without his plaster.

He might have broke his hands hitting him so many times, if he did he could just dance to a win, Margarito was a sloth very easy for Floyd to outbox, I mean Manny out boxed him and Floyd is a much better boxer than Manny.

Fot the bright spark haters 3 of Margaritos best opponents beat him, and Floyd beat the 3 of them lol, and the haters try and say Margarito beats Floyd what a bunch of dopey brain dead morons some posters are.

Margarito was too big and strong for Floyd.
Not surprised he avoided him like a plague.

Floyds first half of his career was awesome. His 2nd half, while undefeated, really didn’t prove a thing.

Took no real challenges, diva’d all the stipulations to his fights, and hand-picked his opponents. His 2nd half hurt his legacy as a true fighter. The 2nd half of his career did show his brilliance as a businessman and how to milk the sport and it’s fanbase out of every dollar possible.

Is this a good or a bad thing? Who knows...but, the question I’ve always wondered was: What would’ve happened to Floyd Mayweather if he would’ve legitimately lost a fight??

That, in my opinion, would’ve answered who Mayweather was as a fighter and where to truly rank him on the All Times list.

Mayweather was well on his way to becoming a very rich man because the De La Hoya fight was next which lets be honest...changes his life. That could also be one of the reason why he so emotional because of the offer that was already on the Table and feeling that he "finally made it"

So he should have ZERO regrets buying himself out from Top Rank and Bob Arum and going over and doing the Oscar De La Hoya fight which was the start of him becoming the biggest Cash Cow this sport has ever seen.

Margarito was the Carrot On A Stick and the last resort to get Mayweather to STAY with Top Rank. Oscar had a Lawsuit pending against Arum so Arum refused to work with Oscar during that time. So Mayweather bought himself out to go make that fight so yes he turned down Arum offer of the Margarito fight at $8 Million and went on to instead make $25 Million with Oscar De La Hoya

Every year this thread of started but people refuse to tell the ENTIRE STORY as to WTF really happened. I'm a Long Time boxing fans so I remember it all. Others remember it as well but they just hate Mayweather that much so making him look as if he ducked Margarito out of fear he would lose to him is the narrative they want to push.

No Version of Margarito beats Floyd and a lot of the people who use Margarito knows that but it is something they feel they have to sh^t on Mayweather I guess. Hey if it makes some of you feel better they go ahead have at it and keep running with it.

Mayweather still by far the biggest Draw in boxing because nobody is talked about more on this Forum than someone who is retired and is now training fighters
