In 40 fights the only thing Calzaghe has done is beat a washed-up Eubank and a 21-0 prospect... The 17 title defences in the middle were a joke, bar maybe Charles Brewer and Robine Reid (which many people though he lost). But still, Charles Brewer and Robin Reid? That's not an elite fighter

It's no fault of Calzaghe's that Jones and Hopkins just would not fight him. He was too good for his own good.

He's the best SMW of the last 10 years by miles, it's no fault of his that Collins and Ottke ducked him. Brewer and Mitchell were Robbed against Ottke, Joe beat them up.

        **** off.

Oh and Calzaghe clearly beat Reid with one arm. Paul Thomas was an English judge, that was clearly some nationalistic **** because Joe clearly in my eyes won atleast eight or nine rounds (one-handed!).

I have to give Reid's team credit though because their tactics were good, catching Joe with counter left hooks alnight. They saw that Joe would pull away rather than use a tight defence, and with Calzaghe being a southpaw they worked against that with a left hook. But Calzaghe just completely out-worked Reid throughout, IMO.

Delaney, Eubank, Reid, Starie, Sheika, Woodhall, Veit x 2, Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy.

Nothing wrong with a resume like that!

Plans to let Calzaghe fight Joe Spina (or another hand-picked american) may have run into trouble.
The IBF are insisting that Calzaghe first face their mandatory - Robert Stieglitz.
This could even endanger the planned october 14th event in Manchester. Or Calzaghe may have to drop the IBF-tittle if he can't work out a deal.

Poor old Calzaghe. In his 8 years as WBO champ he's never had to take the mandatory concept serious. He's been able to chose whatever opponent he wanted to maximise earnings. Must be damn annoying when someone starts messing with your buisiness like that.
