It’s comments like these that make one wonder if being dropped on the head at birth is actually a thing. After winning the title he fights an undefeated fighter who he KOs. He then fights a 32-2 fighter on a 10 fight win streak with 28 KOs.

During this run the following boxers all had opponents lined up in contracts and fought.

Dirrell
Canelo
Blow Job Saunders
Ryder

So, please enlighten us genius on who he was exactly supposed to fight that meets “your approval.” Maybe save face and leave the thread. You obviously haven’t been watching boxing for long to know so little.

You can't be serious? Really? And you're accusing someone else of being dropped on their head as if Plant doesn't fight complete bums(bums as in fighters who knew they had zero chance & suck) once a yr,& Plant has the same promoter as Benevidez & the other pbc fighters but hed rather run his mouth from the safety of his basement like Joe *****,then refuse to negotiate (ducked) when Canelo was interested, because even though he sparred a bum for 10 rds(playing with his food because hes average)he expects to have"5 months in between fights for Canelo"(same as Saunders fat ass)

I’m very serious! I have no animosity towards any fighter they’re all talented. However the man fought for a title in his 18th fight. For those of the instant gratification generation
this seems like “bums” but now every boxer must be compared to Loma in order to be “valid.” Plant’s progression is what most boxing historians and analysts would classify as a normal progression.

“Average?” He is arguably by far the fastest (Toss up between he and BJS) in the division and has elite speed and footwork. His counter punching is superb. He’d give any champion within the division problems. Can he unify? Sure. I can also see Canelo or Benevidez doing so as well. Each have their strengths and weaknesses.

The only one I see that has an advantage over all is Canelo. Benevidez has the power but he leaves himself wide open to counters something both Plant and Canelo could make him pay for. Both Canelo and Plant have been known to gas but I believe Canelo has shored that up. Canelo not only had speed but power and a granite chin as well so Benevidez wouldn’t just go barreling in. Plant has yet to be tested to the chin because he is like a ghost very few can reach him. Benevidez has the power to equalize both.

I’m not a fanboi for any of them. I cheer all of them on and none are “bums.”
