Comments Thread For: Hearn Reacts To Arum, Warren: Fury Can't Avoid Whyte Mandatory

In the last few days, Tyson Fury's co-promoters, Top Rank's Bob Arum and Queensberry's Frank Warren, have explained that there is very little interest in having their fighter make a mandatory defense of his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte.

Hard to argue with Hearn on this. Whyte is the perfect pandemic opponent for Fury - if the Wilder trilogy fight can't happen right now. It's light work for Fury and he gets the whole mandatory hassle out of the way.

Nobody is "light work" for Fury except Wilder

Wilder with a 200lb party suit on stretches Whyte.

Even Hearn knows it an easy fight for Fury.

It's astonishing how much wilder and fury are afraid to fight WHYTE. Something about Whyte has terrified two thirds of the hwt elite.

Nothing about him scares anyone, AJ showed how easy that fight is. He is irrelevant in the big picture no big money in that fight he isjust a bump in the road telling sparring stories. Fury/AJ is big money, Fury/Wilder 3 is big money. Fury/Whyte is nothing in comparison. Get outta here with that nonsense.

And what exactly is scaring anyone about Whyte?? Who has he KO recently?? Was it his KO (2nd controversial try) of journeyman Chisora or his KO of the Mighty 39 year old Lucas Browne?? Every other he won by the skin of his teeth and that includes journeyman Mariusz Wach

Nobody is scared of Whyte. They just don't care about him. He'll become a paper champion after someone (probably Fury) vacates the belt so they don't have to waste months of their life with Whyte.
