They could've done it without the crowd but that wasn't the problem. The problem is that Ryan wanted more money and from a business perspective it made no sense for his promoter to meet his demand. The July 4th date was to face Linares. It was planned to be held at the Staples Center. Ryan was willing to fight Linares but not for a pay cut. They couldn't come to an agreement and a new path emerged for both Ryan and Linares
