Hard to believe it's almost 2 years since HBO dropped boxing...what a terrible shame they did.

When it first happend this forum cheered it and celebrated it. Now 2 years later and reality sets in people want it back. Its like that quote "you never miss a good thing until its gone" , so true.

Been watching a lot of fights on YouTube due to the lack of fights lately, & man I've gotta say HBO was just top notch in terms of production. Saturday night fights on HBO just felt different. The 24/7s, Lampleys excitement, Roys insight, Kellerman always disagreeing with Lederman lol. It was just different.

Showtime is the next best thing but it'll never be as good as HBO was. Now with Paulie out I'm hoping they find a better replacement than Abner Mares. Heres to hoping they give Roy a call after he's done with his exhibition.

Fox sucks. DAZN sucks. ESPN just okay, I'm starting to like the chemistry between Joe, Andre and Timmy.

I won't hold my breath for an HBO return to boxing. But you can never say never.

They had a certain magic to their production...it was very exciting. Max Kellerman stunk but I guess it was his job to push whatever HBO's agenda was. As soon as the theme music came on it would get me pumped. I don't know why somebody hasn't picked up Jim Lampley yet?

I would love for HBO Boxing to comeback (yes I was one of those people who wanted to see it fall when it was still on air ONLY because of the Blatant Bias from the likes of Lampley) BUT with some major changes. Leave it as a OPEN Invitation to All Promoters and Fighters. No Bias or Agenda so No Lampley! No Long Term Exclusive Deals with a Promoter or any Fighters. Budget strictly for Good Fights regardless of the Promoter! Kinda like how Lou DiBella and Ross Greenburg ran it back in those HBO/TVKO Days in which they only Spent the budget on mostly good fights while of course you still got your Warm Ups/Soft Touch Fights on HBO as well but it was a lot of Big Fights that was made on HBO Network and TVKO/HBO PPV

Nobody has built boxing stars like HBO and nobody has better Pre-Fight Content than HBO. Yeah I was wrong though, 2 Years Hiatus and you realize how IMPORTANT HBO is to this Sport

Everytime I’m in Vegas and stay at the MGM Grand, I play the theme song in my head

                    Two years too late IMO.
People can say Nelson was just following orders when HBO decided to scrap Boxing.
But Nelson's shetty matches and his preference to air documentaries and shows like game of thrones contributed greatly to HBO's final decision to axe Boxing.
                    Fxck Peter Nelson. Good riddance.

I would love to see HBO boxing back but they would need to get rid of the bias commentators lampley and lederman lol
