Valdez needs to work on his foot speed NOW and head movement which is slightly improving!

I like how he turned Velez and got in the clinch to smother a guy like Velez who throws a lot of punches, problem is Berchelt is much stronger and won’t just accept clinches!

Valdez is gonna need to be on his absolute A game or hit Berchelt with big shot that he doesn’t see coming!

Good luck to the kid cuz he’ll need it!

Anyone know how many boxers Reynoso is training?

I kind of have the sense that this is Reynoso giving more attention to Canelo and Ryan Garcia.

But we’ve seen this recently happen with Gennady and Banks.

        So who knows ....

Valdez is not ready to face Berchelt. He adopted Reynoso’s philosophy a little better against Velez but he’s still not completely there. If Valdez were faster, I’d give him a chance against Berchelt, but in his current form, I give Valdez about a 5% chance against the champ. Valdez is trying to catch and shoot, remaining calm in the high guard, but he’s just not fast enough to apply that technique vs Berchelt.

Valdez needs to stop trying to become Canelo because his defense will never be good enough to outbox Berchelt for 12 rds and win a decision. His best chance to win is getting in great shape and throwing everything he has at Berchelt from the opening bell

Berchelt just to big and to damn strong for Velez
Can’t see him having the slightest chance
Don’t see him having any advantage against Berchelt

Valdez doesn't seem to have that same dog in him or the killer instinct. Eddie Reynoso has done well in making him more defensively responsible but I think his offense has suffered since making the switch.
