Comments Thread For: Michael Hunter Finds Peace In The Chaos Of The Boxing World

By Corey Erdman - Michael Hunter is on Instagram live, showing his followers some of his favorite yoga poses, explaining that spinal health is crucial to aging gracefully. It's startling to see a 6'2", 220-pound heavyweight boxer in camel or wheel pose, but nothing about Hunter tends to fall along the lines of normality within boxing. Long a proponent of...

Like they say at the Nickerson Gardens '' Hey Bounty-Hunter, Hey Bounty-Hunter, HEY!''

There is a generous bounty on the 'Gorgeous-villain' Charles Martin. The IBF is paying in a mandatory opportunity at the winner of Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev for the : IBF-WBA-WBO HW titles.

Hunter talks a good game but he has no defence and runs out of ideas when his punches don't have an effect.

I like Hunter alot. I think Matchroom used that Povetkin fight to determine if they would embrace him or kick him to the curb. Had he won, they probably would have matched him with a higher profile fight.

I was disappointed in his Povetkin performance but I thought that was a tough matchup for him stylistically. Hunter seems to do better against the bigger, slower HWs where he can use his speed as an advantage.

Hope he gets picked up by either TR or PBC. So many good matchups out there for him.

Hunter comes across well, not sure he’ll have enough against the top two or three but he’d give anyone else a run for their money!

And that is DAZN's problem. No wonder they're struggling. Hunter arguably won that fight with Povetkin, and his stock certainly didn't drop any. For a company trying to build a subscriber base in the US, what did they do?

They went on to put the 45 year old Povetkin in a main event fight against Dillan Whyte, two fighters nobody over here gives a damn about, in a fight nobody gives a damn about. You literally can't make this s#it up.

I dunno, I like the Whyte and Povetkin matchup. The Russian is old but he still is entertaining. I think it's a pretty damn good main event for pandemic era boxing and definitely the best matchup we will have seen thus far.

I'm a big Hunter fan but I think the draw kind of stunted his momentum. He didn't look good in there and he that was supposed to be the moment he vaulted into real contention. I would have thought Hearn and Matchroom would have given him another chance and that very well might come back to haunt them of he gets picked up and makes a run with a rival promotion.
