Movie business can make anyone look any age . Most actors for roles being physical do steroids to fit the character it’s what they are getting paid to do ,I would imagine Fox is on a multitude of them just to do half of what Mike used to do to get in shape . Finding a Mike Tyson replicate even back in the day from the 90”s one was lucky to get a similar build and martial artist ,not sure who would fit the bill now and actually look like him .

If it's not Megan Good, I'm not interested.
I had to look her up, but u nailed it with Megan Good, was surprised. I was so mad at Givens because I figured her and her mom
Plotted to just take Mike for sum Money. Still I remember Givens looking great in Blank Man.

I bet you loved Joaquin Phoenix in Walk The Line playing Johnny Cash.
Or maybe Rocketman? Or even Bohemian Rhapsody?
Maybe My Week With Marilyn? Wait, what about The Iron Lady with Meryl Streep? That must have been a novelty.

I bet you cared about American Sniper too?
I wonder what’s the constant on all the biopics I listed (FYI, there are a bunch more)
U bet wrong. Only saw Walk the Line and American Sniper, didn’t care for either. My point is I enjoy a well researched documentary with interviews than a stylized Hollywood movie. I think Jamie Foxx does amazing impressions, watched the clip of him burying Terrence Howard today. Like I said maybe we will get a bunch of scenes that we have never heard about, that’d be great. But maybe it will just be Jamie Foxx doing an impression of Mike in all the scenes, fights, clips, sound bites we’ve all heard or seen a million times. I don’t doubt he will mimic Mike perfectly, but like a lot have said he’s around the same age as Mike. I’d rather see Mike re-enact all those scenes then. If you know your Churchill and history there’s not much to get out of “finest hour” other than a good makeup job and impersonation. Not like there was any new info. I just hope the Tyson movie has something interesting or new to share and it’s not just a spot on impersonation of Mike Tyson’s greatest hits. Most people can do a decent Tyson or Churchill.

            Dead ringer.

Although I know she's lying about Brad Pitt. At that time, EVERYONE was terrified of Mike Tyson. Even if Pitt said it in a "ha ha...yeah" kind of way, he didn't want to catch a hook.

Fair enough. I agree with your view.
I think at this point, most studios have similar views and Tyson’s history and persona is still in the public eye so I can’t imagine they’d risk investing in a movie with a story line we’re all too familiar and still fresh in our minds.

I think they’ll try to humanize Tyson and focus on his career after. I don’t know but a studio would be ****** to do the obvious.

Speaking of, have you watched Ray? The stories of Ray Charles from childhood, his struggles and addiction, those were carefully done and I thought it was a great movie. Maybe the older generation knew it all, I certainly didn’t.

I haven’t seen Ray, but I will watch it next now for sure. Ray Charles was still very popular and on tv often when I was a kid. I know Foxx is a legit pianist. I played when I was young but was not a natural or with any musical talent. I wish I stuck with it though to at least be fun at parties. I really liked Mikes one man stage show. Much better than anyone could have expected. I always thought Mike was very interesting and enjoyable to listen to. He was always very honest, also says some pretty profound stuff. Easily one of the best speakers in boxing. He oozes charisma in a lots of ways, and so does Foxx. So I should stop being pessimistic and hope for the best in the movie and the exhibition with Roy. I’m not going to set a high bar for either in expectations, but if they can beat them I’ll give them their due, and the jeers if they fall short.
