It makes sense for Teofimo to walk away if he and his team believe that Lomachenko would win the fight and perhaps embarrass him in the process.

I agree 100% and that's why I'm ok with it.

If Teo looks like Walters/Rigo he's done. A better route is move to 140 with his image intact. Continue to talk about Loma ducking him at 135 and occasionally calling Loma him up to 140. In the meantime, when the killers leave 140 he take over a good chunk of it.

I suspect everyone from Teo to Arum have figured this out, it's the smart move and it keeps the money train rolling.

That says it all right there. Best insight on this forum. Teo's dad, Nostradumbass, said his son 'my soooon..' will take out Loma in the first two rounds and he said 'Loma will not land a punch on my son' in the fight before Teo knocks him out. And he said Teo will make the Loma fight look easy.

With all this CONFIDENCE, albeit with no clarity and confidence without clarity is a disaster, why wouldn't they take the 1.2 and next fight can demand big, big money defending the three belts?

Loma came down from 8 million. Teo wasn't lowballed. He's getting his fair offer. Genius. Why should the guy challenging the guy who has all three belts, get more than 1/3 the purse?
